A chapter of Sweet Adelines International, Alberta Heartland Chorus was formed in 2004, with 15 charter members. The Chorus presently has 35 members and continues to grow. Membership is made up of women of all ages, the youngest joined at the age of 12. Several of the members have had many years of Sweet Adeline experience, singing in quartets and in other award winning choruses.
Some are even beginning to make membership a family tradition, recruiting their daughters, mothers and grandmothers! The chorus has come a long way, and the journey has had many interesting highlights.
Sharing a musical journey in the pursuit of excellence through friendship, education and performance gets us out into the community singing for seniors, volunteer orgainizations, cultural events and private functions.
